Where will 2012 take us?

Jasper Johns "Map" 1961 with Karlie and Laura at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, GA
Life is a journey and we are all along for the ride.  We create our own path and sometimes it feels like we are lost in the dark.  Sometimes it feels like we are just passing through with a temporary situation.  Sometimes we try to think about our future or where we will be, but we really have no idea what will happen or what is in store.

I feel comforted to know that the Lord is always with me.  The Lord's love gives me peace and I feel like I have a path that is lit  by grace.  All I have to do is remain humble and ask for the forgiveness we all desperately need in our lives.  I have been faithful in the small things and the Lord keeps blessing me with more responsibility and more blessings.

Every joy in our lives should be treasured.  I am not talking about material things. I mean loved ones, friends, and the experiences we will treasure that will last us a life time.

I have no idea what 2012 will have for me, but I am grateful for the blessing of being alive.  Life is the biggest blessing of all.  The chance to become a better person.  The opportunity to help someone in need.  The blessing and peace to have the Lord in your heart.  The courage to endure when you are confronted with a trial.  The memories that only come from living life to the fullest.  And the passion for the love of life to get caught up in the moment to never care if you are the only one dancing!

This year I hope that my spirit is a light that shines so bright I will glow.  I want to always have my rain boots nearby so I dance and twirl in the rain.

Showering our friends with Love

Leigh Peacock's wedding Shower; I love the beautiful summer colors.
The thing I love about Leigh is she has the best heart.  She is the most sincere friend and young woman that anyone can be lucky enough to know and adore. She had a Bridal Shower the other day and it was my pleasure to attend.  The ladies involved with hosting the party really did the most amazing job, see example below.  The truest testimony of how much they all appreciate Leigh and how we are all so happy for her!

Peacock flower arrangement was incredible
Leigh was quite touched that they went to such lengths to make everything so remarkable and the presentation was just breath taking!!  Everyone deserves to feel like a princess when they get married and showers are so special to any bride-to-be.

I know at my shower I felt like the luckiest girl in the world to have friends who care so much to just come and be a part of my celebration in the union to my now husband.  Gosh it is almost a year since I was married and I think exactly a year since all of my showers (2).

The next picture is my favorite picture of all time.  Leigh and her fiance took this picture over seas I think at the very restaurant that the Disney movie Lady and the Tramp was modeled after.  And let me just say, a picture is worth a thousand words!

Sharing a piece of Spaghetti, just like the movies!

Everlasting Friends and 6 month Update

It's been said that everlasting friends can go long periods of time without speaking and never question the friendship. These types of friends pick up like they just spoke yesterday, regardless of how long it's been or how far away they live, and they don't hold grudges. THEY UNDERSTAND LIFE IS BUSY... But you will ALWAYS love them. Re-post if you have at least 1 of these friends. They will know who they are...
This picture is includes some of the women that mean the world to me!  We get busy but when it comes down to it they were there for me and I was there for them.   They are my best friends.  I think it is so cool how they are all beautiful on the inside and on the outside.  I treasure each and every one of my friends.  It was amazing that we have so many good friends.
Between me and my husband Kyle we invited over 120 people just from our friends to the wedding.  I wish we could do it again because I feel like I didn't really get to talk to everyone.  The wedding went by so fast I can't believe I might not have even talked to everyone there.  But knowing they were there meant the world to me and Kyle and our parents.  But the wedding happened so fast and then it was Kyle and me together for the Honeymoon in Cali.  We loved being in wine country and on the beach in Pebble Beach!
Pebble Beach is so nice in August and I would definitely recommend staying there in a condo on 17 mile drive like we did.  There is so much to do there with the Monterey Aquarium and wineries.  Shopping is really cute with the sweetest little shops in nearby Carmel.  This picture here is in a Christmas store in Carmel.  It was so cute they had Christmas trees decorated and the cutest little things you could buy.  I had fun taking pictures in the nooks and crannies of the store.
Going to California was great, we had such a fun time!  But better than all that was spending time with my amazing husband.  Yesterday was our 6 month anniversary of being married.  I guess some would say we are still in the honeymoon phase, but yeah it is amazing to be in a committed relationship and know Kyle will be there for me no matter what life throws at us.  I know we can handle it!
